Okayama week declared by San Jose Mayor and City Council!
On Tuesday, April 24, 2007 the City Councel and Mayor declared this Okayama Week in San Jose. Participating in this was the mayor of the time of the founding, Bob Doerr. Now retired, he gave some speach about the early success of the program in San Jose

Welcome to the Okayama Committee (Sister Cities San Jose) page for the 50th anniversary of our relationship between San Jose California and Okayama, Okayama, Japan. This is a volunteer site and is trying to keep up with the activities planned for the end of April and for a trip to Japan in the Spring 2008. There are many activities going on this year that celebrate this relationship. We hope you will take part in many.
